Eucalyptus

She drew a gentle breath for her simple meditation. As her head joined her body beneath the water’s surface, she opened her eyes and looked toward the sky.

Sunlight streamed down through the tea-coloured water. A warm world waited up there, filled with the scent of eucalyptus in the morning. But she enjoyed her momentary escape and would not rush it.

Self-help. Self-care. They'd become as complicated and tiresome as the things they were borne to remedy. Keep it simple, a dull but handsome lover once said. Perhaps not so dull after all. So, she did. She chose weightlessness and water. And she thrived.
